QA for Marketing

Throughout the week, I provide QA for the Full Sail University marketing team. My responsibilities include automated and manual testing, proof reading, and checking for ADA compliance on all marketing websites and emails.

On a daily basis, email campaigns are sent out to students, alumni, and employees. We utilize Podio to assign and track work related to the creation, testing, and deployment of our email campaigns. Using Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook, I manually test for technical and formatting errors. This includes making sure that links and images are working and displaying, and making sure that proper padding, font, and styles are used. I also check for spelling and grammar.

The marketing team is responsible for the creation and upkeep of the main Fullsail.edu website, as well as all of its related pages. This dynamic site includes information about our degree programs, the enrollment process, and alumni news stories. Constant upkeep and testing is needing, as our programs are constantly evolving and news stories are regularly added. On many pages, I use Katalon Studio to test headers and footers, as well as fill out forms to create test users. I also have a script that will delete the test users once they are generated in Salesforce. We take ADA compliance seriously throughout the Fullsail.edu website, and we use SiteImprove to make sure we are accessible to as many people as possible.  We use  Workfront and AirTable to assign work and collaborate on issues related to compliance. I use browser inspectors to check our code for compliance related tags, and I also use Apple VoiceOver and JAWS for Windows to test screen readability.
